Thanks Omer Molad, human capital management is going to be the most important role of leaders as we move further into the era of the knowledge worker and as technology continues to encroach on traditionally ‘human’ roles. We need to recognise that people are our greatest assets, even as we use technology to further our causes.

Technical roles will become mutable as more the pace of development quickens, that’s why I always look for adaptability as a key trait in senior people.

Ultimately, as you said, there is a mix of characteristics unique to each individual and each individual role that one needs to define and look for — and that’s the art, not the science!
