Sometimes I close my eyes and hit publish, cringing at the drivel my efforts have birthed (note to self find better word than ‘birthed’). Because sometimes the perfect, beautiful idea that, in my head seemed unflinchingly brilliant, on hitting the cold hard light of the screen is, at best, mediocre.

But then, someone hits recommend, or writes something beautiful in response. And the world keeps turning.

100 Naked Words is helping me get comfortable with mediocrity, so that maybe someday genius might emerge…

Welcome Anna Maria Ballester, Danielle Owen Whitford, The Letter Writer and Chiara Cokieng; looking forward to being inspired by more great writers!
